We have just added Sage One to the list of popular accounting systems we integrate with. Over the past two years or so, hundreds of thousands of small businesses have moved their accounting online, and Sage One is one of many systems catering to this demand.
Sage One was launched in 2011 and is now used by enough businesses for us to count it as popular. Sage’s desktop product Sage 50 was one of the first systems we added a data format for, although this was a CSV format, not the type of API integration we have with Sage One.
The word sage has a few meanings. A sage is a profoundly wise person and sage advice is something wise that a sage might say. The company behind the Sage accounting system is, according to their website, named after the herb sage, having been inspired by a picture in the pub where the team met.
We specialise in payroll, not accounting. We think our customers should choose the accounting system that’s best for them and we don’t try to sway them. If you are thinking of changing your accounting system, whichever company you go with, I hope your choice is a sage one.
We can now transfer data directly to Xero, QuickBooks Online, KashFlow, QuickFile, Business Accountz, FreeAgent and Sage One. There’s also a CSV option for Sage 50 and Sage 50c.
